These are my dreams...

My dreams trail

My dreams trail

I'm sitting at the local Toyota Dealer, waiting for my car's oil to be changed and the tires checked. I'm listening to one of my favorite soundtracks by Jeremy Soule. It is the Skyrim music from The Skyrim game. I'm also sipping a nice cup of hot chocolate. I'm feeling extremely inspired and I wanted to share my thoughts. Normally I would record a vlog, but my voice right now is pretty ragged. My vocal shots are scheduled for November. The last set of shots did not work as well, so I'm struggling.

During my struggles, I find myself feeling depressed. I know when I'm feeling like this, I need to do things for others, and dive into my music.  Which I have been doing.  It is helping, but something has helped me over a huge hurdle today. I received a payment from SoundExchange. This touched me because people are streaming, broadcasting , podcasting my music more than they have in the past. Did you know that when you listen online or purchase my music, you are actively funding my music? This is not a hobby for me. This is not a part time job either. It is my life's work.

These are my dreams ~ to be able to help pay for our house, to help put food on the table, to help others struggling financially, to give back. I also want to tour, release more music work with more musicians, Blue Coast Music, record in Vermont again with Will, record an electronic album, record a Christmas album, I do not want to go into debt.  I would also like to help my husband achieve his dream which is to work at home contracting software engineering work and feel comfortable to do so.

When you buy, listen, spin, my music ~ you are helping me on my journey to accomplish these enormous and wonderful dreams. You are awesome ...and I am incredibly blessed.

KEEP sharing with your friends and family..tell them about what you have done with me and why its important to you. Tell the whole world...and I will keep on working to release my music... and please keep streaming, purchasing, podcasting, sharing, everything you do helps me move forward. When you do - it is important to me!

much ❤️..

Kori Carothers

A musician's path to her/his muse is sometimes an easy one. Other times, it is filled with potential pitfalls or unexpected obstacles. Kori Linae Carothers faced just that when, during a kindergarten health screening at the age of 5, it was discovered she was deaf in her left ear. Her young peers found out and the teasing began. In addition, throughout elementary and high school, Kori was constantly told she would never become a musician. Undeterred, she kept learning and practicing, never surrendering her dream. Despite these discouragements, Carothers was passionate about her calling and now, years later, she is an acclaimed pianist and keyboard player with four albums to her credit. Clearly, she is an example of a person following her muse with courage, humor, and determination. - Bill Binkelman
